MIM #266: That’s a Wrap

Hi everyone. It has been ages since my last post. A lot has been happening.

Work has been something crazy hectic during the week and the weekends have been spent single-handedly installed 3 ikea pax complete with shelves, drawers and glass doors. I won’t lie… those pax cupboards (the tall ones) are seriously heavy for someone my size. I’d suggest not being gung-ho about it and asking for extra muscle.

Then I got cracking on an ikea bjursta expanding table in the craft room, along with some besta shelves. I must say that the walk in robe and craft room are incredibly like an ikea showroom… sans showroom neatness of course.

Anyway, wardrobe all built and loaded, craft table all levelled on my uneven sloping floor, and weekend happily underway, I thought to myself “better get a crafting before work on Monday lest I go insane”.

So here is my crafty mini make. This is just the wrapper, sans present which is to be purchased from Etsy later.

I used the Mini Blooms and Bigger Blooms set. My colleague is going to be having a baby hence the “so happy for you” sentiment. I filled the space with the large flowers and leaves first, then used smaller fillers for the rest of the space. Inks used were PTI’s Royal Velvet, Summer Sunrise, Bright Buttercup, Hawaiian Shores, Winter Wisteria, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Hisbiscus Burst and Pure Poppy.

I am totally in love with this technique and will be looking for some larger sized paper over the next few days to see if I can make bigger wrapper sheets.

Thanks for stopping by… Hope you have an awesome weekend!

  1. Perfect paper for a gift to new parents…it’s really cute. Love the colors and how the “So happy for you” stands out do well.
